Palo Alto, CA – Only two months into the 2008 election year, there is more at stake for the electorate and the campaigns than only the Presidential Primary contests.

Co-Chairs of America’s Opportunity Fund, former Governor Gary Locke and former Cabinet Secretary Norman Y. Mineta will be in Silicon Valley to raise funds to promote candidates who are and will be accountable to the issues of ethnic minorities at the federal and state-wide level.

AOF’s mission is to support progressive candidates at the federal and state-wide level in pivotal races who are sympathetic and sensitive to the issues of people of color and ethnic minorities, and to encourage communities of color to more fully participate in the electoral process.
